About EPIC Education and Consulting
EPIC Education and Consulting is an acronym that stands for Educating the Community, Protecting our Athletes, Implementing Effective Policies, and Cultivating Collaborative Relationships.
Started in 2017, this organization remains committed to continually providing educational programs for healthcare professionals and community members that improve the safety of youth athletes. The mission and vision of EPIC Education and Consulting are:
Vision Statement
Providing excellence in sports medicine continuing education and evidence-based policy implementation.
Mission Statement
To enhance the health of youth athletes through cultivation of collaborative relationships, delivery of educational seminars, and implementation of evidence-based techniques to improve safety during sports participation.
EPIC Education and Consulting is a continuing education provider for various healthcare professions, including athletic trainers and physical therapists. Currently, EPIC has created 18 courses for a total of 37.5 hours worth of credit.
Furthermore, EPIC Education and Consulting offers annual health and safety educational courses to high school, middle school, and youth coaches and officials. All of these courses meet the requirements of specific Louisiana state laws, including the Youth Concussion Act and the Remy Hidalgo Act.
Finally, EPIC Education and Consulting offers consulting services to school boards, dioceses, sports medicine companies, and recreational facilities to enhance safety of athletes during sports participation.
